I'm going to guess that in 5 and a half years of working at a movie theatre, I've seen 13 trillion kernels of popcorn. That may be a little bit over what it actually is, but I think that's about right. This is a texture I see almost everyday, I usually have to sweep it up, and I actually think it is a bit beautiful.

Oh messy people, they'll never go away will they.

By the way, yes it's spelled Theatre, not theater.

Shot Details:
Nikon D90
Tripod
Nikon ML-L3 (this is very handy!)
105mm macro lens
ISO-200
.6 sec.
f/20

TIP FOR TODAY
When not using a tripod, hold your breath right before hitting the shutter. It can remove that little bit of movement causing a blurry image. (Remember this when using a point and shoot camera or your phone's camera aswell.)

Have a great week everyone and don't forget avoid that butter "flavoring" while at the movies, it usually has 100+ calories PER PUMP! Plus your fingers won't get all greasy so your drink slips right out of your hands.

Follow me on twitter for updates and feel free to comment (here, or on twitter), I always respond.

Midnight Lines - Eclipse Edition

Tuesday night was the premier of "Eclipse" and, at Point Cinema, there were about 1300 attendees. The first people started lining up at about 5:15 and the line extended to the end of the building before 9 when this photo was taken. We had a total of 7 screens for the midnight, and it was really fun working it.
